Driver dies after pickup truck crashes onto front lawn of home, cops say

The driver of a pickup truck was killed on Saturday in a crash that happened when the vehicle ran off of a residential street.
The truck was traveling west on New Road near Shelley Road in South Brunswick at 1:44 p.m. when it veered to the right and careened onto the lawn of a house, township police said. The vehicle hit a fence and two trees before coming to a stop.
The driver, a 72-year-old man from Kendall Park, was in cardiac arrest when officers arrived on the scene. He was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after multiple CPR attempts, police said.
His name has not immediately made public. An investigation is ongoing.
